Rashid Khan
Rashid Khan Arman (born 20 September 1998) is an Afghan international cricketer and the captain of the Afghanistan national team in T20Is. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest Twenty20 bowlers in the history of the sport.
Early life and education
Rashid Khan was born in Nangarhar, eastern Afghanistan. During his youth, his family fled the Afghan war and lived in Pakistan for a few years before returning to Afghanistan, settling in Jalalabad. He grew up playing cricket with his siblings before discovering his talent as a leg-spinner.
Career & Achievements
- Made his ODI and T20I debut for the Afghanistan national team in October 2015 against Zimbabwe.
- Became the youngest player to captain an international side at the age of 19.
- Fastest and youngest bowler to take 100 wickets in One Day Internationals (ODIs).
